Effective 8 October 2026
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of FamCal (“family-calendar”), a private, non-commercial household project operated by Servaas Tilkin (“the operator”). By connecting an account to the app, you accept these terms.
As-is · non-commercial · one householdThe service
The app shows a read-only, combined overview of calendars that household members have chosen to connect, on a display inside the operator’s home. It mirrors information from Google Calendar and/or Microsoft Outlook. It never writes to your calendars.
Your account and access
- You grant the app read-only OAuth access to the calendars you connect.
- You may revoke that access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account’s security/permissions settings. Revocation is immediate and requires nobody’s permission.
- You are responsible for having the right to connect the accounts you connect (e.g., comply with your employer’s policies for work accounts).
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, for personal family use, without warranties of any kind. The display may be incomplete, stale, or wrong — events can be missed, mis-timed (timezones!), or outdated if a sync fails. Do not rely on it as your only reminder for appointments. Availability is not guaranteed; the operator may turn it off at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages or consequences arising from use of the app, including missed appointments, incorrect event information, or downtime.
Changes and discontinuation
The operator may change, suspend, or discontinue the app, or these terms, at any time. Material changes will be communicated to connected household members.
